New Hero Glamour 125 come with premium features and more mileage

New Hero Glamour 125 : The Indian market is bloated with commuter bikes, but one name that looms large over is the Hero Glamour 125. With this latest update, Hero MotoCorp has breathed new life into the Glamour by trying to blend modern design, fuel efficiency, better performance and some more tech to appeal to young buyers and daily commuters both.

The Glamour has been one of Hero’s high-selling 125cc bikes and the new model is expected to pack both: a style quotient and substance, yet keeping the pricing low and practical for the middleclass and office goers.

New Hero Glamour 125 Modern design that is in style for home decoration.

Updated Hero Glamour 125 gets new design language which looks sharper, sleeker and more dynamic than before. The new LED headlamp with DRLs, sculpted fuel tank extensions and dual-tone paint jobs add sportiness and premium appeal to its class.

The general design is commuter-friendly but also a touch bold, with a character that ought to tempt college kids and first-time buyers. The split-style grab rail, blacked-out alloy wheels and graphics further contribute to its youth-centric appeal.

Biker Friendly Riding Position

The Hero Glamour still puts a lot of emphasis on rider comfort. I like the sculpted single-piece seats, which are wide and well-cushioned for good comfort for both rider and passenger.

Thanks to the upright handlebar and forward foot pegs, it’s easy to park yourself for a comfortable ride whether you’re navigating the city or enduring long commutes.

Potholes and speed breakers are also well taken without any struggle thanks to the 180mm ground clearance. Meanwhile, the seat height of 790mm ensures that it will fit a variety of riders, regardless of height.

That’s where the refined engine and decent mileage come in.

The new Glamour gets a 124.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which makes 10.84 bhp and 10.6 Nm of torque and is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

The new motor also arrives with Hero’s XSens tech and Programmed Fuel Injection, which the company says will enhance throttle response and combustion.

That equates to a more comfortable ride, fewer emissions and more miles per gallon. In real riding conditions, the Glamour offers you a mileage around 60–65 kmpl which makes it a great bike for daily commuters and for riders on a budget looking to save money on fuel.

Transmission change are smooth and engine operation is smooth even at higher RPM’s. It’s not designed for speed thrills, but it’s sturdy, predictable and cheap to run — the exact things a commuter bike is meant to be.

Digital amenities and practical extras

With this update, Hero has offered a considerable number of additional features in order to up the features-to-price ratio; this includes a full-digital instrument console which provides real-time mileage, gear position indicator, trip meter, fuel gauge and service reminder.

There’s even a USB charging port for phones and gadgets, hardly a luxury in this day of connected riding.

The i3S also features a start-stop technology that gives some fuel savings in traffic by automatically switching off the engine when at signals and restart it with an easy pull of clutch. This is particularly useful in crowded cities where frequent stops are standard.

Ride, Braking and Suspension

The Glamour pulls of a car-like ride pretty well. The front telescopic forks and 5 step adjustable hydraulic rear shocks deliver feelings of a nimble yet heavy bike design without breaks.

Whether it’s a broken-street cruise or smooth-flowing pavement, the suspension doesn’t feel firmed up for the sporting life.

Braking is via a front disc or drum based on the variant, and a rear drum with CBS (Combi Brake System) for extra safety. The brakes aren’t vicious though, and quite useable for everyday use.

Pros:

Sleek, premium design with LED lighting
125 cc Engine Powerful, durable and cool, the 125cc is a single cylinder four-stroke with 10.0:1 compression ratio.
Rider & pillion sit at ease in comfort
Good real-world fuel economy
Convenient digital features and USB charger
Hero’s extended service network and low twitch maintenance costs and all.

Cons:

No ABS, only CBS
You might find highway performance tepid
Competitors with better suspension tuning exist.
No Bluetooth or GPS from instrument cluster
Not even rear disc brake in top variant

New Hero Glamour 125 Final Verdict

Overall the New Hero Glamour 125 is a thoughtfully designed bike, delivering on essential aspects — styling, comfort, mileage and usability.

It might not excite enthusiasts but for a commuter it’s a decent looking product and if you’re in that class of cost-conscious customer who doesn’t have to have the latest and greatest and most exciting and if you’re not expecting too much from your 125cc engine, the Hero Glamour is still a good option.
