KIA EV9 – New electric SUV launched with 561 km powerful range

KIA EV9: Kia is not just cranking out budget cars anymore. Today, it is nothing short of pushing the envelope in the EV space, and if proof is necessary, just check out the EV9. This all-electric full-size SUV is much more than futuristic looks, though — it’s a reimagining of what an electric family car can be.

Featuring a striking design, expansive three-row seating and high performance capability, he EV9 promises to be a disruptor in the premium electric SUV market.

Where most EVs chase swoopy, low-drag lines, the Kia EV9 stands proud and tall, appealingly offering a boxy, Land Rover-aping shape that shouts presence and confidence. But below that tough surface beats one of the most sophisticated electric platforms out there – Kia’s E-GMP architecture.

KIA EV9 Design:

Bold, Square, and Head-Turning(Em)brace Yourself There’s a steeliness to it, which is also very tactile,” she said of the jewelry piece, designed by her husband.

It’s a look you can’t ignore The Kia EV9 refuses to look like every other electric car plan, and says it’s full-on SUV — a big body, high off of the ground, and slab-sided lines. At the front, it has Kia’s new “Digital Tiger Face” with vertical LED headlights and a dramatic lighting signature.

From the side, it’s a blend of utilitarian cube-ery proportions with aerodynamic finishing, and the rear ain’t bad, either, with its full-width LED tail lamp.

The wheels are gigantic, the paint options feel rich, and most of all, this is a car that turns heads.

Inside: Tech-Heavy but Sensible

The inside of the EV9 looks like it’s from the future too. The cabin is spartan but packed with tech. There’s a huge panoramic slab of screen that spans the dash, housing a 12.3in infotainment system, 12.3in digital driver’s display and a 5in climate control screen.

Sustainable materials such as recycled plastics and vegan leather are used. There is good design inside and out: the livery is uncluttered, the ambient lighting tasteful, the flat floor promoting an open-plan, spacious atmosphere.

With its extended wheelbase, you can count on the EV9 to provide the authentic three-row room needed for the big family.

In the middle row, captain’s chairs with the ability to swivel 180 degrees are available — a feature that is virtually unheard-of in cars, let alone EVs. Ok, so there’s lots of leg, head and bomb bay space with all the seats up.

Performance and Range: Punchy as a Good Stout.

The Kia EV9 is available in RWD and AWD on incline. The RWD version consists of a single motor outputting about 201 hp and the AWD one with dual motors outputs up to 379 hp and 700 Nm of torque.

This power lets the EV9 take just over 5 seconds to go from 0-100 km/h – pretty good for something that large.

Depending on the variant, ranges of between 500 * and 540 kilometres * (WLTP) can be achieved thanks to the large 99.8 kWh battery. EV9 charges in less the 25 minutes from 10% to 80 % with a 800V ultra-fast charger which is a very big advantage on long distance drives.

The EV9 has been equipped to the hilt with future-forward features by Kia:
