Hyundai Ioniq 5 come with shandar design and advance tec features

Hyundai Ioniq 5: India’s electric vehicle segment is beginning to take shape while Hyundai is making an entry into an IMAX movie—with a futuristic offering, no less—by launching the Hyundai Ioniq 5.

Unlike conventional EVs that are simply internal combustion engined cars with motors replacing engines, Ioniq 5 is a proper from-the-ground-up EV that’s been designed from a blank sheet of paper on an all-new dedicated EV platform called E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform), and feels like it.

Not just an electric car, the Ioniq 5 is Hyundai’s vision for cleaner, smarter, connected living.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 A Design That Stands Out Against Conventionalism

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a breath of fresh air from on what it is like on the Indian roads. It has the styling of a retro-futuristic hatchback, but the proportions of an SUV.

It’s got angular lines, pixel-style LED headlamps, a menacing clam-shell bonnet and full-width LED tail light bar that all combine to create a concept-car feel.

It appears small in photos but it’s actually quite large, with a wheelbase longer than some luxury S.U.V.s. It looks clean, slick, and modern, with flush door handles, 20-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels, and minimal body surfaces.

Luxury and Environmentally Friendly Cabin

Inside, the Ioniq 5 combines minimalist design with modern tech. The dashboard is flat and wide, with two 12.3-inch displays — one for the infotainment system and one for the digital driver display.

There are no conventional knobs and most functions are handled through capacitive touch buttons and steering-mounted controls.

Hyundai has incorporated green materials throughout the cabin—recycled plastics, bio paint, and eco-processed leather for the upholstery. The flat floor and sliding center console result in ample legroom and versatility.

In the front the seats are fully reclining with footrests providing ‘zero gravity’ lounge comfort during charging stops.

Battery, Performance & Range

The India-spec Ioniq 5 gets 72.6 kWh battery pack and a single motor mounted on the rear axle that belts out 217 PS and 350 Nm of peak torque.

Performance is quite peppy too – 0-100km/h can be reached in 7.6 seconds for a nice blend of urgency and control.

The ARAI-certified range is 631 km, of course, but you can expect to see 450– 500 km depending on how you drive the car and how much you use the various in-car systems. It’s more than enough for both daily driving and long freeway trips, providing a true competitor to gas-fired machines.

All, You Need is Ultra-Fast Charging

By virtue of its 800V platform, the Ioniq 5 provides an ultra-rapid DC charging experience — up to 350 kW, for a 10–80% refill in just 18 minutes (assuming you can locate a charger that can throw that much juice at it).

That’s still about an hour on a more typical 50 kW DC charger for a meaningful charge.

Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capacity is another distinctive feature. This means that you can use the Ioniq 5’s big battery to charge external devices – a laptop, a speaker, or even another electric vehicle – through a regular 3-pin socket.

Some High-Tech and Safety Features

In the mix Hyundai has stuffed safety and tech features.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, and Automatic emergency braking
6 airbags and a 360-degree camera and parking sensors
Bose sound system, wireless charging, ambient lighting
A panoramic sunroof, power seats, and enhanced climate control
It’s a proper tech showcase — and yet easy to live with day in and day out.

Not cheap, but hard to beat — especially for tech-savvy, eco-conscious urban buyers seeking to move beyond traditional cars.
